Our Story
How We Met
Phatsara and Brad met in the modern way (a dating website) in 2021! Back in to 2013, Phatsara moved from Thailand to Buffalo Grove, where Brad grew up, and she studied at a school in Wheeling where Brad had been working as a firefighter. She traveled 8,000 miles across the world, and although they were just a mile apart from each other, they never met at that time. Years later, amazingly, Phatsara and Brad matched on a dating site! They started dating by exploring different types of cuisines as they became foodies. This helped them connect very quickly. They also went to many concerts together, including a Pearl Jam concert (Brad's favorite band). That inspired them to name their puppy "Pearl."
The Proposal
They went to Indiana Dunes National Park to celebrate second anniversary as a couple. Brad planned to propose to Phatsara on the sand dunes, but he was scared of dropping the ring into the sand, so the plan was changed. While walking through the trail, surrounded by beautiful trees and a peaceful environment, Brad got down on one knee with the ring on his hand, and Phatsara said, YES! The proposal would not be complete without Carol, Peter, Jason, and Kayla who witnessed and captured lovely moment.
They are so excited to start the next phase of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate with you in June of 2024!
